Angel Gabriel visits Mary and tells her God will make her the Mother of Jesus, the King
Crown of Twelve Stars. Welcome to Praying the Rosary with one story at a time. By praying the scriptural verses for each story, we can grow in insight and understanding of these 20 precious stories of the Rosary. We're going to start with the joyful mysteries of the Rosary. Another way to explain this to new ears, such as little people, is by saying we're going to pray through the five main stories of Jesus' childhood. Let's start, we start, with the sign of the cross, In the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. Amen. O God, come to my aid. O Lord, hurry to help me. O God, come to my aid. O Lord, hurry to help me. Mother Mary, please come, be with us now and help us grow in faith, hope and charity. Together we pray the Hail Mary. Hail Mary full of grace. The Lord is with you. Speaker 1:The First Childhood Story. The Annunciation Angel Gabriel visits Mary and tells her God will make her the mother of Jesus the King. Let's spend a minute in quiet preparation to let God speak to our hearts in this story. Together we pray the Our Father, Amen. Forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us, and lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil. Amen.
Speaker 1:Zechariah and his wife Elizabeth belonged to priestly families and both lived good lives in God's sight and obeyed fully all the Lord's commands and laws. Holy Mary, mother of God, pray for our sinners now and at the hour of our death, amen. One day, an angel of the Lord appeared to him and said Don't be afraid, zechariah. God has heard your prayer and your wife Elizabeth will bear you a son. You are to name him John. Hail Mary, full of grace. The Lord is with you. From his very birth he will be filled with the Holy Spirit and he will bring back many of the people of Israel to the Lord, their God. He will go ahead of the Lord and get people ready for him. Speaker 1:God sent angel Gabriel to the town Nazareth. Sent angel Gabriel to the town Nazareth. He had a message for a young woman promised in marriage to a man named Joseph, who was a descendant of King David. Her name was Mary. Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with you. The angel came to her and said Peace be with you. The Lord is with you and has greatly blessed you. Mary was deeply troubled by the angel's message and she wondered what his words meant. Speaker 1:Holy Mary, mother of God pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death. Amen. The angel said to her Don't be afraid, mary. God has been gracious to you. You will become pregnant and give birth to a son, and you will name him Jesus. He will be great Hail Mary. Full of grace, the Lord is with you. Blessed are you among women and blessed is the fruit of your womb, jesus. Holy Mary, mother of God, pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death. Amen. And God will make him a king above all kings, and his kingdom will last forever. Mary said to the angel I'm confused. How can God say I'll have a baby when I don't even have?

Angel Gabriel explained the Holy Spirit will surround you and the power of God will rest upon you, and this will mean the child will be called holy, the Son of God. Hail Mary full of grace. Remember your relative, elizabeth. It is said that she cannot have children, but she herself is now six months pregnant, even though she is very old. For there is nothing, nothing that God cannot do. Hail Mary, full of grace. The Lord is with you. Blessed are you among women and blessed is the fruit of your womb, jesus. Holy Mary, mother of God, pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death. Amen, I am the Lord's servant. Mary said.
Speaker 1:Yes may it happen to me as you have said. And the angel left her Hail, mary, full of grace. The Lord is with you. Blessed are you among women, and blessed is the fruit of your womb, jesus. Holy Mary, mother of God, pray for our sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen. Glory be to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Spirit. As it was in the beginning is now and ever shall be world without end.
Speaker 1:Amen. O my Jesus, forgive us our sins, save us from the fires of hell, lead all souls to heaven, especially those in most need of your mercy. We pray for the Pope's intentions for the whole Church. Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be your name. Your kingdom come. Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us, and lead us not into temptation. Deliver us from evil, amen. We pray all these prayers of the Rosary and we lift up the prayers in our own hearts to you, lord, confidently, in the name of the Father and of the Son, the Holy Spirit, amen. Thank you.
