Today we're praying through the third childhood story, the Nativity you might know this better as Christmas. Let's begin In the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit Amen. O God, come to my aid. O Lord, hurry to help me. Mother Mary, please come, be with us now and help us to grow in faith, hope and charity. Together we pray the Hail Mary. Hail Mary full of grace. The Lord is with you. Blessed are you among women and blessed is the fruit of your womb, jesus. Holy Mary, mother of God, pray for our sinners now and at the hour of our death. Amen.

Speaker 1:

The Third Childhood Story, the Nativity. Joseph and Mary go to Bethlehem, where Mary gives birth to Jesus and an angel appears to nearby shepherds. We spend a minute to focus on that story and open our hearts to God. Together we pray the Our Father, our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be your name, your kingdom come. Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen.

At that time, the emperor ordered a census to be taken throughout the Roman Empire. Everyone went to their own hometown to register. Joseph and Mary went to and registered in Bethlehem. Hail Mary full of grace. The Lord is with you. Blessed are you among women and blessed is the fruit of your womb. Jesus. Holy Mary, mother of God, pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death. Amen.

While they were there in Bethlehem, the time came for Mary to give birth to her baby. She wrapped him in swaddling clothes and laid him in a manger because there was no place for them in the inn. Hail Mary full of grace. The Lord is with you. Blessed are you among women and blessed is the fruit of your womb. Jesus. Holy Mary, mother of God, pray for our sinners now and at the hour of our death. Amen.

Nearby there were shepherds out in the field watching over their flock. By night, an angel of the Lord appeared to them and the glory of the Lord shone around them. Hail Mary, full of grace. The Lord is with you. Blessed are you among women and blessed is the fruit of your womb, jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for our sinners now and at the hour of our death, amen. The shepherds were filled with fear and the angel said to them Be not afraid. I am here with good news for you that will bring great joy to all the people. Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with you. Blessed are you among women and blessed is the fruit of your womb, jesus. Holy Mary, mother of God, pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death. Amen. This very day, your Saviour was born in the city of David, bethlehem, christ the Lord, and this is what will prove it to you. You will find a baby wrapped in clothes and lying in a manger. In a manger. Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with you. Blessed are you among women and blessed is the fruit of your womb, jesus. Suddenly, a great army of heaven's angels appeared, with the angel singing praises to God. Glory to God in the highest and on earth. Peace among men with whom he is pleased and on earth, peace among men with whom he is pleased. Hail Mary, full of grace. The Lord is with you. Blessed are you among women and blessed is the fruit of your womb, jesus. Holy Mary, mother of God, pray for our sinners now and at the hour of our death, amen.

When the angels went away from them back into heaven, the shepherds said to one another let's go to Bethlehem and see this thing that has happened, which the Lord has told us. Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with you. Blessed are you among women and blessed is the fruit of your womb, jesus. Holy Mary, mother of God, pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death, amen.

So they hurried off and found Mary and Joseph and saw the baby lying in the manger.

When the shepherds saw him, they told them what the angel had said about the child.

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with you.

Holy Mary, mother of God, pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death, amen, amen. All who heard it were amazed at what the shepherds said. Mary remembered all these things and thought deeply about them in her heart. Hail Mary full of grace, the Lord is with you. Blessed are you among women and blessed is the fruit of your womb, jesus. Holy Mary, mother of God, pray for our sinners now and at the hour of our death, amen. The shepherds went back singing praises to God for all that they had seen and heard, and it had been just as the angel had told them. Hail Mary, full of grace. The Lord is with you. Blessed are you among women and blessed is the fruit of your womb.

Jesus, holy Mary, mother of God, pray for our sinners now and at the hour of our death. Amen. Glory be to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Spirit. As it was in the beginning, is now and ever shall be world without end. Amen. O, my Jesus, forgive us our sins, save us from the fires of hell, lead all souls to heaven, especially those in most need of your mercy. We'll pray the Our Father for the Pope's intentions for the whole world, the whole church. Our Father who art in heaven. Intentions for the whole world, the whole church.
