Welcome to Praying the Rosary one story at a time. Today we are praying the fourth childhood story, the presentation. Let's begin In the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit Amen. Oh God, come to my aid. Oh Lord, hurry to help me. Mother Mary, please come, be with us now and help us grow in faith, hope and charity. Together, we pray the Hail Mary. Hail Mary full of grace, the Lord is with you. Blessed are you among women and blessed is the fruit of your womb, jesus. Holy Mary, mother of God, pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death. Amen of God. Pray for our sinners now and at the hour of our death. Amen. The fourth childhood story, the presentation. Mary and Joseph took Jesus to Jerusalem to present him to the Lord, and they received prophecies. We spend a minute to focus on the story to be prayed and open our hearts to God. Together, we pray the Our Father. Our Father, who art in heaven. Hallowed be your name, your kingdom come. Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen. Mary and Joseph named the baby Jesus, which was the name the angel had given Mary. Hail Mary, full of grace. The Lord is with you. The time came for Joseph and Mary to perform the ceremony of purification, as the law of Moses commanded, so they took the child to Jerusalem to be dedicated to the Lord officially. Hail Mary, full of grace. The Lord is with you. Blessed are you among women and blessed is the fruit of your womb, jesus. A good, god-fearing man named Simeon was living in Jerusalem. He was waiting for Israel to be saved. The Holy Spirit was with him and had assured Simeon that he would see the Messiah. Hail Mary, full of grace. The Lord is with you. Blessed are you among women and blessed is the fruit of your womb, jesus. Holy Mary, mother of God, pray for us sinners, sinners now and at the hour of our death. Amen.

Speaker 1:

Led by the Holy Spirit, simeon went into the temple. When the parents brought the child Jesus there for the presentation ritual, simeon took the child in his arms and gave thanks to God. Took the child in his arms and gave thanks to God. Hail Mary, full of grace. The Lord is with you. Blessed are you among women and blessed is the fruit of your womb, jesus. With my own eyes, I have seen your salvation, which you have prepared in the presence of all peoples. Hail Mary, full of grace. The Lord is with you. A light for revelation to the Gentiles and glory for your people, israel.

Mary and Joseph marveled at the things Simeon said about Jesus. Simeon blessed them. Hail Mary, full of grace. The Lord is with you. Blessed are you among women and blessed is the fruit of your womb Jesus. Holy Mary, mother of God, pray for our sinners now and at the hour of our death. Amen, he said to Mary. This child is set by God for the fall and rising of many people in Israel and a sign that will be spoken against. Hail Mary full of grace, the Lord is with you. Still speaking to Mary, simeon said A sword will pierce through your own soul also that thoughts out of many hearts may be revealed. Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with you.

There was also a very old prophet named Anna.

Speaker 1:

She had been married for seven years and then lived as a widow until the age of 84.

Speaker 1:

She never left the temple.

Speaker 1:

Day and night she worshipped God.

Speaker 1:

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with you.

Speaker 1:

Blessed are you among women and blessed is the fruit of your womb Jesus.

Holy Mary, mother of God, pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death, amen.

Anna fasted and prayed daily.

Speaker 1:

That very same hour she came to the Holy Family and gave thanks to God and spoke about the child to all who were waiting for God to set Jerusalem free. Hail Mary, full of grace. The Lord is with you. Blessed are you among women and blessed is the fruit of your womb, jesus. Holy Mary, mother of God, pray for our sinners now and at the fruit of your womb, jesus. Holy Mary, mother of God, pray for our sinners now and at the hour of our death. Amen. Glory be to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Spirit. As it was in the beginning, is now and ever shall be world without end. Amen, o my Jesus, forgive us our sins, save us from the fires of hell, lead all souls to heaven, especially those in most need of your mercy, and we pray for the Pope's intentions for the whole Church. Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be your name, your kingdom come. Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
